Utah Scientific today introduced two new additions to its master control switcher product family. The MC-4000 delivers two complete signal processing channels in a 3-RU package, offering larger broadcasters a fully integrated system for the most demanding on-air operations. For smaller applications, the MC-40 provides a standalone package that integrates the company’s widely successful MC-400 channel branding board along with an 8-input board that allows the MC-40 to be used separately from the UTAH-400 routing switcher.

Calrec Audio and Ross Video Ltd. have announced that they have developed a software interface that enables
Calrec audio consoles to be controlled remotely by the Ross OverDrive™ Automated Production Control (APC) system. For broadcasters, this tight integration can mean significantly reduced production costs and more flexibility, in that a single operator can run both video and audio in
situations where a full crew is not available or not required, such as for late-night breaking news cut-ins.

Silicon Imaging, together with it’s partners P+S Technik, CineForm, and IRIDAS, announce a host of platform enhancements to the SI-2K, improving the user experience behind the camera, and enabling a more streamlined post workflow that blurs the line between pre-production, on-set and post-production, creating a powerful non-linear workflow solution that covers the gamut from the initial concept to final delivery.
